Hello fellow Lions!
We had a good session on Monday night but reduced to 3 teams of 4-a-side due to pitch problems.
As mentioned after our defeat on Saturday we need to hold the ball up more as we do on Monday nights, use our body to block players and generally control the game a bit better. Last Sat we played well first half but due to giving the ball away too easily second half we threw away a game which we should have won easily!
Ok well there is always this week....

Much as it pains me to agree with Mr McManus on anything, the lad is spot on here. We are all technically capable of keeping possession, as we know from Monday night sessions. Yet as soon as we find ourselves on vast expanses of green growing stuff with more time and space on the ball than we ever get on Mondays, we panic for some reason, and opt for hoofing the ball forwards when there are often much better passing options sideways or back. It has to be said that we do also need to work on our spatial awareness. That means using our eyesight and hearing. Too many of us are playing with our heads down, and not looking for passing options or listening to colleagues in space shouting for the ball, until it's too late. So let's show Reg Varney and his bus boys on Saturday that we CAN keep the ball. AND stick it in their net more times than they stick it in ours!
