The hot dusty days are taking their toll on the pride. As the aged old group makes it's way across the parched Serengeti plains, disparately in search of an easy reward, they are constantly faced with younger challengers and are reminded of the dangers in the circle of life.
Nuf of that,
We started well and kept them back. Then, a couple of mistakes, 2-0 down. The first half was by far our best and then the whistle blows; half time.
The second half was much like the first apart from the fact that they scored more goals. The defence had more holes in it than a pair of fish net stockings. They scored 3 goals in 15 mins which doesn't take a rocket scientist to conclude, we were beat fine and dandy. 5 mins from the end and it was 0-6. The worst run in Lions history!
A couple of good points came from the game. Ali was running at his best and had a stormer on the right wing. (again) And the slim line Chicks looked great and could have had a few sitters if it weren't for his blinkered team mates. Overall it was an average performance, quite some way below our abilities.
