As the MOM went to a brand newie I'd like to say a few words. In the absence of many established players, inluding the Gaffer himself, I thought the Lions gave Raj a fantastic testimonial. It was the best Lions performance I've seen for a long time - probably since the 4-4 against OSC. Manywere worried about the stability of the Lions after the sorry departure of it's founder member, but I'm sure Mat will be pleased to hear that we made the bare min of 11 dispite his absence and a holiday period - and that bare 11 made a valliant effort which could have won us our first game of the year. Thanks to Sham for making up the numbers and to Adam, MOM for providing inspiration and hope for the future. Get some knee pads though. Good luck Raj. Hope all's well in Blighty Mat. Up the Lions!
