Ten days holidays with two bikes thanks to Andy and Mucky. Now anyone would have thought that one of them (???) stayed at the stables but it soon turned out that each comes in on it's own.
The Hawk is smooth, strong and large for a 250 ccm, offering a relaxed ride. The family feels comfy and the front-riding 4 year-old thought the double instruments "cool". Helmets are a must... Bummer.
The Gizmo is tiny by comparison, need no license or helmet and after a rather humiliating starting procedure one is in for a surprise. This thing feels like a bicycle on coke! There is room (two sitting, the baba standing) for three people and after a little warm-up it flies along screaming like a chain saw!
Got stopped by the chaps in uniform three times, all on the Hawk... (They were as nice as ever, though.)
Thanks goes to the generous owners, I treated your steads well, I hope. Did you get the keys back ok as well as the little gift? |
