Dear Karsten,
Thank you for offering assistance at a difficult moment, particulary for small hotel owners like us, who are lacking financial support from government/banks to rebuild our hotels.
We, at Sagarika Beach Hotel, which is situated at the golden mile of Moragalle beach, were operating with 12 rooms and a beach front restaurant and a open air beer garden right on the beach. We also have a fresh water swimming pool which was not affected.
The restaurant and beer garden are completely damaged, 7 rooms need to be fully furnished and 5 rooms are completely destroyed. The estimated costs are around Euro 420'000.00.
If we find the required financial backing we cold re-open the hotel within 3 months.
