Since making his arrival to Ac.Milan back in 2009, the Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has consistently been one of the highly rated defenders in the world and his recent UEFA Team of the Year award is proof of how well the last couple of years have been for the player of PSG.

PSG signed Thiago Silva from Ac.Milan with a price tag of €42 million he has shown his worth and displayed why the French side was willing to offload so much cash for the player that has turned into the captain of the club and is the heart of a defence that has conceded fewer goals in the French league.

A series of rumors began spreading around concerning the future of Thiago Silva as he was being tracked down by a number of top European clubs but the former Ac.Milan decided to remain at PSG and recently spoke about his satisfaction in playing with PSG along with Ibrahimovic and the rest of the stars.

“Yes, I'm staying,” replied the 29-year-old when asked if he was going to remain in Paris. I feel very good here with the coach, the president. I think I'll stay here until the end of my contract’’.

"Ibra is a great player, a big personality and I think he wants to stay too. PSG is one of the biggest clubs at the moment. It's up to us to continue like that. Perhaps we can also go all the way in the Champions League’’.

Paris Saint Germain won the title of their league last year and in this current campaign they are at the top but despite having so much success, Silva believes that the arrival of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard would boost the club even further.

"I would welcome Hazard with open arms, like we did with all our recruits. We need players like him to achieve our project and win everything. He is so strong tactically and technically. All the great players are welcome in Paris." Silva said as he praised Eden Hazard and confirmed that he would be happy to see the Belgian player joining PSG.
