BARCA CHASE SILVA

Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has confirmed the rumours suggesting that the Spanish club could be set for an official offer for PSG defender Thiago Silva by stating that the Brazilian is someone who interests him a lot.

Barcelona are in the market for a new defender because they believe that captain and centre back Carlos Puyol cannot play at the highest level after a few years. They have had a long-standing interest in Chelsea's defender David Luiz, but it looks like they will not be able to get the enigmatic Brazilian to the camp Nou.

SILVA WANTS ANCELOTTI STAY

Paris St Germain defender Thiago Silva has said that he would be extremely sad if manager Carlo Ancelotti was to leave the club at the end of the season.

Former AC Milan and Chelsea manager Ancelotti has emerged as the main target for Real Madrid, who announced the departure of manager José Mourinho at the end of the season. Ancelotti has proved to be a very capable manager in three different countries. He is one of the few managers to have lifted league titles in three different countries. He has also won the Champions League title as well.

BLACKWELL UNDER PRESSURE

The Bury manager Kevin Blackwell has been under a lot of pressure recently. The team are flirting with relegation in the League One, and there is a real chance that they could be playing in League Two next season.

However, Blackwell has said that he feels that his team is a mid-table team due to the football that they have played this season. Bury come into the match against Stevenage at home having lost the three recent encounters. They have also managed to score just one goal – against Colchester United – in this run of three defeats.

Basically the Lions, completely outplayed these youngesters, yet to find their true strength or ability on the ball. Although they had a few god players, the starting 11 was full of holes, which the lions soon found.
